I enjoy working outside with the J&G Lawn and Garden team and seeing our finished projects. Spending quality family time is my main interest right now. I also enjoy painting and working in my garden at home. I have a wonderful girlfriend, Shayla Morss, and we have one beautiful son, Kingston Millsap. I have lived in Humboldt County for all of my life. What makes Humboldt County such a great place to live is the proximity to the ocean, rivers, and forests with huge, beautiful Redwood Trees.

The part of my job I enjoy the most is the enjoyment of doing a good job. My hobbies include riding my Harley with my wife and fishing with the grandkids. I am a family man. I've lived in Humboldt County since 2016 and I enjoy the woods here.

I enjoy caring for plants throughout their lifecycle, watching, maintaining, and shaping their growth and development. Some things I enjoy outside of work are fishing, I'm an avid fisherman, I enjoy time in the outdoors, and spend the rest of my free time gardening. I have an adorable daughter, Brielle, who is almost 2. I've lived in Humboldt (on and off) for my whole life, but I have spent 7 assorted years bouncing around the country. Humboldt is a unique place, friendlier than the rest of the places that I've lived. The fishing is also pretty great!

I enjoy the maintenance of various properties, the installation of drip lines, the planting, and the hedging. It’s all fun for me. My hobbies are working on cars, messing around with electrical, riding my Harley Davidson, hiking, camping, and walking my dogs. I have lived in Humboldt County for 28 years, I am very much an outdoors person. I love nature and all the beautiful forestry here makes it a perfect place for me to live.

Humboldt County has all of the greatest parts of California: the forests, hills, prairies, and coastal areas. It has it all.

The things I enjoy most about this work are pushing myself as hard as I can and gaining as much knowledge as possible. I enjoy everything from detail work to being elbow deep in soil. Some of my hobbies are multi-day backpacking trips, hunting, shooting, fishing and any excuse to be outdoors. I have a hot wife and two insane boys. I was born and raised (minus 3 years) here in Humboldt, Redwood raised is what I call it. The list of reason why I love living here is pretty much everything. Our beauty is not comparable (at least to me), you can go from coastline to deep forest in a matter of minutes and one is just as amazing as the other. Nothing is like being lost in the Lost Coast.

What I enjoy about my job is seeing that the client is satisfied and the progress of a project fills the home with joy, always keeping in mind that people take as much pride as I do in their work. Some of my hobbies when I'm not at work are, skateboarding, fishing, hiking, backpacking, and seeing my family. I have a soon-to-be wife, six littles, who I adore and love to learn from. I moved to Humboldt in March of 2023 and bought a home. Some of the things I love here are the beautiful trees and kindness of the people I see, and share my world with.

What I enjoy most about my work is waking up to nice beautiful mornings to preform a unique service for good folks, it brings a sense of purpose to my life. Call me weird but, I find my job patriotic, the lawn man's motto: THERES SEMPER GRAMEN AD CUT. My hobbies and interests include building and shooting antique firearms, a fun fact about me is in my circle of friends I am known as the "gun Guru". I love Legos! I've recently gotten back into woodworking and I play video games. And finally, ironically enough, I have an interest in the fine arts that is lawn and garden. My family is Bad to the Bone! I love everything about living in Humboldt except the taxes and gas prices.

The parts of work I enjoy the most are helping the community and maintaining fire safety for rural properties, completing big projects, and looking at the work done. I really like improving gardens and working in the dirt. My hobbies include playing guitar, volunteering in the fire department, and going to the lake around summertime. I snowboard in the winter but lately, I've just enjoyed work a lot. I take pride in helping people that need it. I come from a big family, two older brothers and two younger brothers in South Dakota. I've lived in Humboldt County most of my life. I moved here when I was 12 and have worked on farms ever since. Some of the things I love most about living here are that it's out of town, it's peaceful and you can have privacy and quiet you can't buy in town.

What I most enjoy about my work is getting to work outdoors and making a difference where I work at. When I am not at work, I enjoy the outdoors, fishing, dirt biking, and mudding. I lived in McKinelyville at one time for about a year then moved to Florida to build houses. I came back a few months later to finish school so I've lived in Humboldt for about a year and a half. I love the ocean here and all the rivers, nature is really beautiful here as well.

I find something unique about working for a small Mom & Pop business like J&G Lawn and Garden. It is much more rewarding than simply being a small cog in a huge wheel. Each member of this organization is valued. I enjoy going to work every day, though many my age are retired.I have been married for almost 52 years to my wife, Lael, and have two children, Jake and Katri. We have six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. They are truly our greatest treasures.We enjoy spending time with each other and our extended families, gardening, picnics in the redwoods, visiting new out of the way places.I have lived and worked in Humboldt County for 56 years. I graduated from HSU and am a Military Veteran. I was a grocer for 45 years and a bookkeeper for the past ten years. I volunteered as a firefighter with small community volunteer departments for 25 years. I have always been very active in the communities where we have lived. Both my children are now carrying on this tradition in their communities. The ease of reaching the redwoods, rivers and ocean makes living here very rewarding. Both of our children and their families live in the area, so that is a huge plus to living here.
